Mail and Packages for Faculty and Staff

All Faculty and Staff mail and packages will be available for pick up at the front desk of Wiley.
The Wiley Mailroom is the central hub for all faculty and staff mail and package services at the college. Located conveniently on campus, the mailroom handles the receipt and distribution of letters and packages, ensuring secure and timely delivery. Faculty and staff members can request outgoing mail services, including postage for letters, shipping boxes, envelopes, stamps, and more. Departments may also request bulk mailing support or general mailing supplies as needed.
Individual faculty and staff members are eligible to request an assigned mailbox for regular correspondence and may also request assistance with package delivery, particularly in cases involving large or heavy items, or high-volume shipments.
In addition to supporting the college community, the Wiley Mailroom is proud to provide employment opportunities to part-time student workers who assist with daily operations and customer service.

Faculty/Staff who would like to send out letters can do so by either visiting the post office located across the street from Security or can bring the letter to the front desk of Wiley with postage already added. You may also place all letters in the Outgoing Slot with a department slip to charge. We will then take the letter to the post office that day and mail it out for you.
You can also send out packages by giving them to our staff at the front desk with the proper labels affixed and we can give them to the UPS, FedEx, or USPS associates to send out on your behalf. We can not take Amazon packages as their policy is different from all the others.

Package Delivery, Processing, and Caution for Overnighting Letters or Packages
Please note that letters and packages delivered to the U.S. Postal Service address first arrive at the Emory United States Post Office, located near campus. From there, E&H personnel retrieve the letters and packages for processing in the Wiley Hall Service Center.
When packages arrive at the Emory U.S. Post Office, the package will register as delivered in shipment tracking and will notify the Faculty/Staff member that the package has been delivered; however, this does not mean that it has arrived at the Wiley Hall Service Center for processing. If package is not pick up within 2 weeks, an additional email will be sent out informing to retrieve package with the next 7 days. If package is not picked up, the package will be returned to sender.
Packages are only ready for retrieval by the Faculty/Staff member when they have received official notification from studentmailroom@emoryhenry.edu. Overnighting a package may lead to frustration for a Faculty/Staff member who sees that a package has been delivered to the Emory U.S. Post Office but has not yet arrived at the Wiley Hall Service Center.
Please also note that in such cases, the Emory U.S. Post Office, operated by employees of the U.S. Postal Service, will not sort through the numerous packages arriving at the post office in order to retrieve an individual package for an individual student.
U.S. Post Office—Emory, Va.
The Emory U.S. Post Office is located within walking distance of the campus. The business window at the post office is closed on Sundays and holidays, but the lobby remains open at all times. For hours of operation, please visit www.usps.com. Call (276) 944-3522 for more information.
