Donor Recognition

We are grateful for all gifts given to the University and we provide special recognition to gifts at a certain level. The University has a number of gift clubs to recognize all levels of commitment to Emory & Henry. Donations at any level include recognition in the annual Honor Roll of Donors.

Gift Clubs

Emory & Henry has been blessed by remarkable generosity on the part of alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students and friends. To honor your generosity, Emory & Henry recognizes its donors at varied levels. The University community extends a hearty word of thanks to every person who is a member of one of these gift clubs.

Gift Clubs & Commitment Levels:

  • Patrick Henry Society

    Patrick Henry Society The Society takes its name from Patrick Henry, patriot, orator of the American Revolution and Virginia’s first governor.

    Members who contribute $1,775 or more annually are recognized for their leadership in supporting student success. Enjoy exclusive invitations to events like the homecoming halftime reception and Fall PHS Dinner, where you can connect with university leadership. You’ll also receive recognition in our donor report and the opportunity to share your story to inspire others.

  • President’s Circle

    President's Circle For donors who give $5,000 or more annually, the President’s Circle offers exclusive access to key events, including an invitation to the Fall PHS Dinner, where you can interact with university leadership and fellow supporters, along with a special token of appreciation for your commitment. You’ll also receive invitations to the Spring President’s Dinner, special recognition in our publications and at key university events, and the opportunity to share your story and inspire others. Additionally, you’ll receive an annual update that outlines the impact of your gift.

  • Founder’s Society

    Founders' Society Donors who contribute $10,000 or more annually are invited to join the Founder’s Society, where you’ll enjoy exclusive access to events such as the Fall PHS Dinner, offering a chance to interact with university leadership and fellow key supporters, along with a token of appreciation for your ongoing commitment. You’ll also receive invitations to the Spring President’s Dinner, special recognition in our publications and at key university events, and the opportunity to share your story to inspire others. Additionally, you’ll receive an annual update that outlines the impact of your gift.

  • Spire Society

    Spire Society The name pays tribute to Memorial Chapel, a handsome structure central to the life of the College.

    The Spire Society honors donors who have supported Emory & Henry for five or more consecutive years. Members receive recognition in our annual donor report and a special gift of appreciation.

  • Horizon Society

    Horizon Society As a young alumni who has given $250 or more in the last ten years, you’re invited to join the Horizon Society. This special group recognizes those who are passionate about paying it forward and ensuring future students have the same incredible experience you had. As a member, you’ll enjoy recognition in our annual donor report, the chance to share your story and inspire others, and access to young alumni events where you can reconnect with friends. Your support will directly help future students thrive, and you’ll also receive a special Emory & Henry sticker as a token of our gratitude.
