Cadet for a Day

High School students can get their first-hand experience with the University’s ROTC and military science programs.
The Cadet for a Day program, from Emory & Henry’s ROTC and Military Science Department, provides a unique, exciting experience in higher education for interested juniors and seniors in high school. Program participants will be introduced to the college experience with the mentorship of Emory & Henry’s ROTC Cadets.
Participants will spend two days on the E&H campus in Emory, Va., spending the night in a residence hall. The program allows participants to learn more about Emory & Henry’s ROTC program and get introduced to the academic majors, minors, and tracks offered by the University. Throughout the day, participants attend University courses, meet with academic advisors, tour the University’s historic campus, complete physical training with ROTC Cadets and sit in on an interview to receive an ROTC scholarship.
The Cadet for a Day program begins on Tuesdays at 12 p.m. and departs the next day at 12 p.m.
