A wide range of WEHC talk shows provides listeners with locally sourced programming that seeks to connect the people of Southwest Virginia to the larger issues of our region and our world. Show hosts are passionate, both about the topics they cover and the people who are affected by them.

  • All Things Considered: Weekdays, 4-6pm

    Get the best of NPR news for two hours every weekday. All Things Considered hosts Robert Siegel, Michele Norris, and Melissa Block present the program’s trademark block of news, interviews, commentaries, reviews, and off-beat features.

  • Come to the Table: Tuesday 1pm/Sunday 1:30pm

    Step into the shoes of others through stories of redemption, resources and connection for those in need and come together as a community starving for revival in our region, hosted by Zac Holt.

  • Farm Talk-Wednesday 1pm/Thursday 6:30pm

    Join Washington County Virginia Agricultural Extension, Agent Phil Blevins on “Farm Talk” as he discusses topics you should know about, and answers your questions! That’s “Farm Talk” with Phil Blevins, Wednesdays at 1:00 pm on WEHC and WISE-FM

  • Keys to the Game: Monday 6:00pm

    Join host Gary Lester as he speaks with Head Football Coach Quintin Hunter for Keys to the Game, a weekly show providing insight into the E&H Wasps Football team and the current season.

    In addition to hosting Keys to the Game, Gary Lester (E&H ’75) continues his work as the color analyst for the Wasps.  This is Gary’s thirteenth year in this role.  Gary, alongside various play-by-play announcers, has received multiple 1st place awards for Outstanding Sports Coverage from the Virginia Association of Broadcasters.

  • Many Stones Children’s Corner: Tuesday 1:30pm

    Many Stones Children’s Corner is named from a powerful line in the Pete Seeger song “Step By Step”. “Many Stones can form an arch, singly none.” An arch is intentionally. built and is stronger than individual stones. Our collective story is larger and stronger than individual stories.

    Host Ann Ledgerwood PT is a pediatric physical therapist, self-published author of children’s books, and musician. It has been her privilege and pleasure to serve infants, children, and families across SWVA for 44 years. Join Ann as she interviews parents, medical professionals, educators, mental health professionals, and others as they tell their stories and share their knowledge, expertise, and enthusiasm for topics that affect children and families.

    WEHC is pleased to bring you On the Duck Pond Wall in a partnership with the Emory & Henry Alumni Office. Host Monica Hoel, Director of Alumni Affairs at the College, will reconnect with just a a few of the alumni that make E&H proud.     Wasp Basketball Weekly is the show which takes an inside look at the Emory & Henry Women’s and Men’s Basketball program, featuring Women’s Head Coach Jaclyn Dickens and Men’s Head Coach Jimmy Allen. The show is hosted by Joy Scruggs.

  • Your Health: Friday 3:00 pm

    Dr. William Mark Handy, a family practitioner in Abingdon and E&H alum ’86, hosts Your Health, live on-air, Fridays from 3:00-4:00pm. In association with the College of Health Sciences at E&H, the show features different guests and topics concerning Your Health.
